Enjoy The Ride Records in conjunction with Rise Records proudly presents Derek Sanders - The Heavy Box EP.
The Heavy Box features five original tracks penned by Sanders, adored frontman of emo/pop-punk quintet Mayday Parade. It includes features from Mike Hanson of local Tallahassee band Goodbye Love and Jason Lancaster, former Mayday Parade co-frontman. “Dear Life” is the first recording of Sanders and Lancaster together since Lancaster’s departure from Mayday Parade in 2007.
“Slowly over the last few years, I have poured as much love and energy as I could into these songs,” shares Sanders. “Thank you to everyone who helped make The Heavy Box something real and available for those who find it worth their time. These songs mean so much to me, I hope you enjoy them.”
Available on vinyl for the first time, The Heavy Box was remastered for vinyl by Dave Marino and is pressed on Randomly Colored Eco-Mix Vinyl. As an added surprise, 25 customers will receive a Wax Mage Rainbow Super Splatter, 25 customers will receive an alternate art print, signed and numbered by Derek Sanders, and 50 customers will receive an alternate art print. These will be randomly added to orders while supplies last.
There will also be a test pressing bundle available on release day. The test pressing bundle includes one test pressing in a numbered alternate artwork sleeve, one Blue Flower Explosion Wax Mage record (only available in the test pressing bundle), one eco mix record, and one alternate art print, signed and hand-numbered by Derek Sanders.
This one-time pressing is limited to 250 copies.

Please be aware that Priority Mail orders WILL SHIP FIRST, so if this is needed ASAP for a gift then please choose Priority Mail. This release, upon request, can be shipped outside of the jacket to avoid seam splits. This album comes mailed inside of the jacket with shrink wrap on the outside.
We do not have any extra jackets for this release in case of minor damage by the USPS in transit. To clarify, It will come packaged in a full-color jacket (as pictured) in an unsealed poly sleeve UNLESS requested in the comment section of your order to "open the album & place outside of the jacket prior to shipping." This is a good way to prevent potential seam splits along the top of the jacket due to careless handling by the post office, and this service is free of charge.
