reimagining one of the most recognizable themes in video game history for a new era.
From New Line Cinema comes the latest high-stakes installment in the blockbuster
video game franchise in all its brutal glory, MORTAL KOMBAT II. This time, the fan
favorite champions, now joined by Johnny Cage himself, are pitted against one another
in the ultimate, no-holds-barred, gory battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that
threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.

Composer Benjamin Wallfisch notes:
“Scoring Mortal Kombat has been a truly special creative experience. It is a world of
immense scale, intensity, and mythology, but what inspired me most was the emotion
and humanity that Simon and the entire filmmaking team brought to it beneath the
spectacle. In creating this music, I wanted to honour the legacy of Mortal Kombat while
bringing depth, feeling, and cinematic scope to its story. This album reflects the
extraordinary work of so many brilliant musicians and collaborators, and I’m deeply
grateful to all of them for helping bring it to life. I’m very proud to share this music, and I
hope listeners enjoy experiencing it as its own journey."

The album includes a new version of the franchise’s iconic theme, “Techno Syndrome,”
featuring vocals from Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon.

This release, upon request, can be shipped outside of the jacket to avoid seam splits. This album comes mailed inside of the jacket sealed with shrink wrap on the outside.

To clarify, It will come packaged in a full-color jacket (as pictured) sealed with plastic wrap UNLESS requested in the notes of your order to "open the album & place outside of the jacket prior to shipping." This is a good way to prevent potential seam splits along the top of the jacket due to careless handling by the post office, and this service is free of charge. If you forget to write in the notes of your order about shipping outside of the jacket, PLEASE EMAIL US WITH YOUR ORDER NUMBER and ask us to update the notes on your order to ship outside of the jacket.
