Enjoy The Ride Records proudly presents Out of Service - reflections & refractions, volume one. With Out of Service, every album has a unique story. When Teebs and Mike began writing songs for what would become reflections & refractions volume one, they weren’t sure if the songs would be released as Out of Service, a side project, or at all. In March of 2020, they started putting together songs that varied in style in an acoustic format. Mike and Teebs then presented the tracks to the rest of the band. Brian and Kenny agreed that these songs were essential to the Out of Service narrative, so they all hauled up and tracked the album over 3 months at Perkins Center for the Arts - a building that is over 100 years old. The entire record was tracked in the living room of the building using the wooden floors to capture their reflective and refractive sound. What came out were 11 songs that felt extremely fresh while also capturing the essence of Out of Service in an acoustic format. The songs tackle a wide range of lyrical narratives including isolation, depression, social justice, and love. With this record, Out of Service hopes to show listeners — both new and old —that they won’t be pigeonholed into any single genre.

IMPORTANT NOTES, PLEASE READ:
The photos shown for this release are NOT mock-ups, this is the in-hand product. Please keep in mind that no two records will look the same, but they will share similar characteristics and are a unique blend of colors. This release will begin shipping next week and will take A FEW WEEKS to ship all orders out (we are a small business with limited on-site staff). Please be patient, once your order ships you will get tracking information. Please be aware that Priority Mail orders WILL SHIP FIRST, so if this is needed ASAP for a gift then please choose Priority Mail. This release, upon request, can be shipped outside of the jacket to avoid seam splits. This album comes mailed inside of the jacket sealed with shrink wrap on the outside. We do not have any extra jackets for this release in case of minor damage by the USPS in transit. To clarify, It will come packaged in a full-color jacket (as pictured) sealed with plastic wrap UNLESS requested in the comment section of your order to "open the album & place outside of jacket prior to shipping." This is a good way to prevent potential seam splits along the top of the jacket due to careless handling by the post office, and this service is free of charge. If you forget to write in the comments of your order about shipping outside of the jacket, PLEASE EMAIL US WITH YOUR ORDER NUMBER and ask us to update the notes on your order to ship outside of the jacket.
